Guerilla Charity
I won't name any names
but I wanted to let everyone know
that most Sundays, after 8:30,
you can go to a newspaper
vending machine on the corner of
Alberta and 16th and pick yourself
up a free paper. This gift is compliments
of a man with general sympathies for
the working people of this
country (a man who's also
somewhat peeved the Oregonian
endorsed Saxton this year).
Said individual may or may not
have loose affiliations with the
communist party (if they could
ever get their shit together).
The main reason for my
mentioning this man is that
he is so dedicated to fighting
the Good Fight, to sticking it
to The Man every little way he can,
I do believe he'd leave that
newspaper box open every Sunday
even if he weren't having breakfast
right next door anyway. Now,
that's the sort of altruism we'll need
a whole lot of after The Revolution.
So, do your selfless duty, comrades:
go get yourself a free paper
this Sunday before breakfast.
Your neighbors, fellow diners,
and local independent media
promoters will thank you.
