Anything but Devotion

In my experience, folks, and women
in particular, aren't looking for devotion
from a mate. Not at all. People are looking
for someone who'll show them
the greatness hiding inside themselves
and believe in it. They're looking for
a vision of a way of being that they want
to be around, that they would live up to
themselves if they had enough strength.
Folks desperately desire a better half
who'll be just that--better than they are
in all things. Not devoted and adoring.
Really. Honestly. It's quite unattractive
so just stop it.
